Legacy Electronics offers a variety of warranties on its memory products. For more specific information regarding Legacy’s warranties please follow the links which appear below. All warranties are governed by common warranty terms.
If you have any questions regarding which of Legacy’s warranties apply to the product which you have purchased, please consult your printed invoice or contact your Legacy Customer Service Representative. In the absence of any warranty information on the face of your printed invoice the warranty information on the reverse of your printed invoice shall be controlling.
Legacy Electronics’ warranties extend only to the authorized dealer who purchased the product directly from Legacy. Only Buyers who purchased their products directly from Legacy Electronics are covered by the warranties. No warranty offered by Legacy Electronics is transferable. Legacy Electronics specifically disclaims any warranty to any party who did not directly purchase from Legacy. All warranty requests require proof of purchase documentation (dated invoice or packing slip).
Legacy shall make the final determination as to the existence and cause of any defect.
Modification to, or tampering with, any Legacy product including the label containing the Legacy Part Number shall immediately void any applicable warranty. If the label containing the Legacy Electronics part number is removed, damaged or missing, any applicable warranty shall be immediately void.
For any claim made under warranty, Buyer’s exclusive remedy shall be limited, at the Seller’s election, to repair or replace the defective products, or refund of the purchase price thereof, or crediting of the same against future purchases by buyer at the original purchase price or fair market value, whichever is lower.
No Legacy Electronics reseller, agent, or employee, is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to any warranty.
Credit memos issued will expire 365 days from the issued date.
Each of Legacy Electronics’ products comes with a warranty designed to fit the product itself and the needs of the purchaser.
The most common warranty that Legacy offers, the Standard Memory Warranty guarantees to Buyer that, for a period of one year following the shipment of the Product to buyer, the Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Any claim must be made within one year from the original date of shipment by Legacy Electronics and Legacy Electronics shall have no liability thereafter. For certain qualified products Legacy Electronics is able to warrant to the buyer that, for a period of three years following the shipment of the product to Buyer, the Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship. This warranty is only applicable to Legacy’s premier products, please ask your sales representative for details. Any claim must be made within three years from the original date of shipment by Legacy Electronics and Legacy Electronics shall have no liability thereafter. Certain products sold by Legacy Electronics carry its Limited Memory Warranty which guarantees that, for a period of thirty days following the shipment of the product to Buyer, the Products will be free from defects in material and workmanship. Any claim must be made within thirty days from the original date of shipment by Legacy Electronics and Legacy Electronics shall have no liability thereafter. Where Buyer is outside of the United States of America and the national law of Buyer’s country requires a minimum warranty period of greater than one year, Legacy Electronics warrants to Buyer that the products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the minimum period required by said law. Any claim must be made within the time period referenced above from the original date of shipment by Legacy Electronics and Legacy Electronics shall have no liability thereafter. No! The Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975 did a number of things to help consumers. One of the things it did was to outlaw so called “Tie-In Sales” provisions. This means that a seller may not require you to purchase goods directly from them in order to avoid nullifying the manufactures warranty.
Because of the Magnuson-Moss Act a computer manufacturer may not void your warranty for using third party hardware, unless they can show that the hardware was improperly or incorrectly installed.
